Help heal Tonsillitis and Chronic Sore Throat

Tonsillitis & Sore throats are a common problem for all age groups, especially during winter months.

If you still have your tonsils, they are located at the back of your throat and are two tissuey masses, one on either side. In some people you can visually see holes or openings in them. For a long time it was thought that they were unnecessary and served no real purpose. That isn’t the case.

Your tonsils act as a filtration system for bacteria, viruses and toxins. When bacteria, viruses, toxins and occasionally stuck food particles accumulate infection can occur. Looking in the back of your throat you likely will visually see whitish bumps. The first time I saw these I was highly disturbed. I had never heard of this and I wasn’t sure what it was.

What you are seeing are called tonsil stones. Strangely most medical doctors will look in the back of your throat with a tongue depressor and flashlight and nod “mmmm yes, you have an infection.” They will then hand you a prescription for antibiotics. What they don’t do is the most logical thing I can think of. Tell you to remove the stones!

These gross blobs of raging infected material just sit there in your throat allowing the inflammation to fester and likely worsen. They also take up space which leads to more difficulty swallowing, increased soreness, and a feeling of “something” being stuck in your throat.

They are not all that hard to remove at home yourself and make no mistake, if you can get them out, you should.

How to remove tonsil stones:

1. Brush your teeth well and rinse to get as much bacteria out of your mouth as you can. (both before and after removal)

2. Take a Q-tip (do not use anything sharp as the flesh in the throat is very tender, easily pierced and prone to infection) and wet the cotton on the end of it.

3. Rather than push on the stone itself, push gently on the skin around the stone. These stones are embedded in a pocket and are bigger than what you are seeing peaking out. Pressing on the surrounding area applying pressure so that the Q-tip is pushing the stone out of the hole should eventually pop it loose.

4. Do not swallow the stone. Spit it out or scoop it out with the Q-tip.

If you examine the stone you should be able to break it open, but be warned it will smell putrid which is wonderful evidence that this stone is made of pure bacteria and or virus material.

Gargle with warm salt water (preferably pink Himalayan) to help clear any remaining debris in the tonsil pockets and help heal them. Add a drop of essential oil (clove, orange, lemon, lime, peppermint – any of the oils which can be taken internally, as they are antibacterial as well as antiviral).

Additionally removal of these stones often helps if not cures chronic halitosis (bad breath).

Now to get rid of the sore throat and tonsillitis (if that has developed)

-Pour 200ml of water over 80g of grounded cumin seeds, and boil it for 15 minutes.
-You will be left with a thick grainy goop that looks like coffee grounds
-Strain the grounds and add 50 ml of water. Then heat it until it starts boiling.
-Once at a boil add 1 tablespoon of hard liquor, cognac, whiskey, brandy…
-Consume 1tablespoon every 30 minutes. After 2 hours you should start feeling a relief. -All the symptoms of sore throat or tonsillitis should go away after 4 hours.
-If your case is more severe, continue taking it till it helps.

Drink lots of additional hot liquid (hot water with lemon, honey, apple cider vinegar, cinnamon) all or any of those will help greatly.

This recipe should serve best for people with chronic tonsillitis or sore throat.
We hope you feel better soon!
