Once again, I have been accused and persecuted for “inciting violence” when in truth I was doing exactly the opposite.
A friend posted the list of school shootings in recent years. It’s a huge staggering list! Way too many lives have been lost, affected, and traumatized, needlessly. Mental health help seriously needs to be bumped up in this society.

My comment was that I supported teachers having the option to carry if they felt comfortable doing so. Not because I supported them shooting, but because it would be a major deterrent for these temper tantrums that are resulting in deaths.

Body Positivity and Fat Shaming – Falsehoods That Need to Be Ripped Apart for Your Own Good

There is a growing trend in media and social that says that if you don’t agree that someone is at their best when they are overweight suddenly you are a fat-shaming bigot who doesn’t accept people.

This is a huge load of crap.

Body positivity started out as a wonderful concept. Acceptance of the self as you are, where you are, in the now. Absolutely always love and accept yourself. You are unique and cannot be compared against anyone but other versions of yourself. BUT – This does not mean that you should be complacent and fall into the trap of comfortability and not work on yourself. That goes for emotional, mental, spiritual, and physical.

We are ALL works in progress – never completed and never done. Individual masterpieces.

Carrying extra weight has become normalized but it isn’t healthy. It doesn’t mean that person is lazy, or even fat. It means they have to carry around excess body fat which weighs down the body. It is more difficult for every single organ in the body to work at its peak and it is hard on and detrimental to your health. The same can apply for being underweight if the reason is eating disorder based or rooted in other ill health.

Be whatever you want to be, by all means. But don’t lie to yourself and think that being overweight or obese is good for you or a positive thing. Nor should you expect others to play pretend with you.

As we all grow older health becomes a focal point. If you don’t take care of yourself when you are younger, I am telling you – you are setting yourself up for potentially a lot of suffering down the road.

Abundance | Vs. | Lack – A Warning

Abundance warning: Things are insane right now in our economy. Prices on things are as high as I can ever recall. The news and media do everything they can to keep you in fear.

Here is the thing. Universally, there is no such thing as lack. There is enough of everything for everyone. Your feelings and beliefs create your own personal reality (Though we do all share one co-created reality viewed from varying perspectives).

How do you feel? Really check in with yourself.

Do you feel poor, broke, scared, or unable to be unappreciative of what you do have? That will bring about more lack.

Do you feel rich? Abundant, happy, easily able to appreciate what you do have going for you? That brings in and attracts more of the same.

The beauty is that you get to pick. No one else. Not the government, not your boss, not your partner. You and you alone.

Friends have laughed at me over the years. I will find change, even a penny.. pick it up, and loudly declare “I’m rich!” Laugh all ya want. Money comes to me when I need it and it always has.

Whether you know it or not you ARE divinely supported and loved by the Universe/God – whatever you choose to call your higher power.

A Possible Cure for Smell and Taste Distortion Following Covid – Parosmia

I had written one previous article on the subject and promised a follow-up if I found anything that actually worked. Well? I have!

I ran across a post by a gentleman on Facebook who claimed he had taken some Vitamin shots down in Mexico and that it greatly helped reduce his symptoms. As I was getting very depressed trying to find food to eat that didn’t smell like rotted flesh or garbage left out on a hot summer day, I was really up for trying pretty much anything.

He showed the box, which was in Spanish, and said he did a series of 5 shots 48 hours apart and at the end of it, his sense of smell and taste was far better.

I went in search of these shots! Thankfully I found a clinic here in Florida that worked with me and sent me via mail exactly what I needed – the vials of B12 and B-complex. B2 and B6 were what was in the original post that I had discovered along with the B12, but here in the USA apparently B2 and B6 only come in a full complex delivery suspension.

They shipped me 1 vial of B12 10ml and B-Complex 30ml along with the insulin needles needed for the injections, and the alcohol sterilization pads.

Directions: fill 2 needles to the top line one with B12 and one with B-complex making sure to keep everything sterile. Wash your hands, lay out a paper towel, wipe the area to be injected with the alcohol swab and let it dry. These are subcutaneous needles, though both of these can be injected intramuscularly as well. Take the needle and go straight into a fatty area on your lower abdomen (you can do your thigh or back of bicep too). Slowly squeeze the plunger until the needle is empty, and recap and toss safely. The B-complex is a bit stingy, but not bad. The B12 doesn’t feel like anything.

Repeat every 48 hours for 5 total. From here on out I am moving to the recommended dose of 1 each every 10 days as I did test low in B12 to start with before doing this protocol.


I am not 100% better. I am still missing some smells. Perfumes, essential oils, Candles, flowers, I can smell SOME of them. BUT, and the reason I am bothering to write this, and this is huge – FOOD no longer smells rancid, rotting, putrid, or like vomit or trash! I can eat again.

This is being written just after the 5th shot. I am going to continue to do the shots at the normally recommended rate of every 10 days till my vials run out.

Additionally, I was told that 1000mg of L-Lysine would also help and I have been doing that congruently with this.

NOTE: The original prescribed dose was 1cc/each per injection. I did not realize my needles were .5cc (1/2 of that) and i still got miraculous results. While my scents are still coming and going so far as essential oils, candles, lotions and such, I am going to bump up the dose i am doing to the full 1cc. and repeat the 5 shot cycle. I’ll report back!

Parosmia – The Lingering Covid Effect the News is Ignoring While it Plagues Tens of Thousands Worldwide

It has been widely reported that during an active COVID infection people often lose their sense of smell and taste. It has been one of the signature telltale symptoms. But what isn’t being shared is that even after many recover, this problem can linger. Worse yet, it can mutate and become hugely problematic for those who are left with this reminder.

Parosmia is a disorder caused by a viral infection (such as Covid) where their receptors become damaged, and they develop a smell disorder. If you thought no sense of smell was bad, what if you woke up one morning and scents you know and loved – as simple as lemon and coffee suddenly smelled like rotting flesh and dirt?

This is the disturbing reality many are living in right now.

When smell and taste are distorted to this extent it’s not just annoying it’s a problem when it comes to being able to eat. Meats, vegetables, even fruits – can become so grossly nonpalatable that many are finding themselves at a loss as to what to even try to eat. This can lead to reduced appetite, depression, weight loss, or gain if the only foods you can stomach are high-fat high sugar junk foods. This bizarre affliction can make you feel like you have an eating disorder and very much mess with your mental wellbeing.

Along with the problems associated with eating these individuals can no longer smell burning food, smoke, or gas – which can put their lives in danger. It also introduces the problem of not being able to tell if food is legitimately spoiled or rotten which could lead to food poisoning.

These phantom smells have been described as:

  • Rotten meat
  • Sewage
  • Old garbage
  • Metallic
  • Ammonia
  • Vinegar
  • Old gym socks
  • Skunk
  • Sickly sweet cheap perfume

As of a survey in June of 2021 it was found that roughly 10% of those who had covid ended up with some level of parosmia. Half gradual onset and half sudden onset of symptoms.

The most common foods that triggered these awful tastes and smells were:

  • Meats
  • Citrus
  • Garlic
  • Ginger
  • Onions
  • Eggs
  • Coffee

There are online support groups that have formed on social media where sufferers can find support and others who are able to relate to this crazy affliction. Parosmia isn’t something that can be fully understood unless you have the unfortunate luck to experience it. Especially in this high inflation economy none of us have extra money to waste on foods we simply cannot eat. This is a major issue for those affected.

The big question – How long does this state of being last?

Covid induced parosmia can gradually fade with time. It can take months or even years to see improvement.

In surveys done, 49.3 percent reported that their parosmia improved within 3 months. The remaining 50.7 percent said their parosmia lasted over 3 months. The average time is 3.4 months and can range from 9 days to 6 months.

Why it happens

It’s possible that infection with the coronavirus damages the receptors and nerves involved with our sense of smell. While this damage can often be repaired over time, it may cause some disruption in how we perceive odors.

Is there any help? What is the treatment?

Smell training is recommended – Essential oils used are lemon, rose, clove, and eucalyptus. Smell them for 20 seconds each at least twice per day. You can add in any others you so choose. This has had minor success.


Avoid foods and smells that trigger you. Do not force foods that taste putrid it will only make you miserable. Try to get enough protein, even if it means using alternate sources such as pea protein or pumpkin, or soy. Trial and error. Drink lots of water and get plenty of sleep so your body can work on the repair. Most importantly don’t lose hope.

It has been 5 months post covid for me personally. I lost sense of smell and taste completely for a week during the infection and though it returned to nearly normal afterward, normal quickly faded away. I first noticed something was off in eating tangerines. I thought for sure they had sprayed them with some chemical and I kept trying to wash it off. As it turns out it was the citrus oil in the rhine I was smelling.

From there more and more foods started tasting off and then it moved into smelling like dead zombie vomit at best. I had been stuck in this nasty smell/taste zone for a couple of months. I was getting depressed and anxious from it as I was having a very hard time eating enough. I would go to bed hungry and wake up starving. I have been tracking calories to make sure I eat enough.

MIRACULOUSLY – last night my husband bought a new coffee and asked me to smell the grounds. I was just humoring him and did. I was shocked – I could smell it! A few hours later I realized I could also stomach the smell of citrus again! I then went on a sniffing rampage around the house smelling anything and everything I could get my hot little hands on. Much of it I could smell! Things I hadn’t smelled in months!

I did notice that if I breathed in too hard, I would smell the item PLUS the rotten smell… So, I decided to take the win and back off. I don’t know if the coffee triggered something, or it was just time for it to repair and coincidence. I do know coffee beans and grounds are used to clear the nose when perfume shopping, maybe it did actually help? It sure cannot hurt to try! I would love to hear about your experiences.

All I can say is I HOPE this newfound sense of smell stays. It’s still shaky, almost like learning how to walk again but I’ll take it!
I’ll report back shortly.

UPDATE: It didn’t really stick. Things are still mutating. I have been told there is a protocol of vitamin B shots found in Mexico………. I am looking into it!

Hemicrania Continua – A Rarely Discussed Headache Disorder

A 6 Year Trip Through My Own Personal Hell

It has taken 6 years to get a diagnosis. While I sincerely wish it had been far less, I am eternally grateful to be at this point.

If you are having massively painful headaches that no doctor can seem to explain, please keep reading. I am using the 6-year marker, though there were incidences of this feeling popping up sporadically beforehand. It realistically could have been a few years longer.

The Hemicrania Continua Headache – What I experience


  • Pain in just one side of your head (it does not switch)
  • It comes on suddenly and is severe
  • Pain is behind the eye and can feel like a fork is being jammed into your eye socket and brain from the inside
  • Your eye on that side of your head swells, becomes red and streams water
  • Light exposure hurts (but only in that affected eye)
  • Pain can range from intense to wanting to blow your own head off to get relief
  • You may also experience eyelid drooping
  • Pain is present 24 hours a day for a minimum of 3 months
  • Relief is only found through medication or sleep
  • Runny nose
  • Nasal congestion

This headache would wake me up in the middle of the night with head pain that felt like an ice pick was trying to crack my skull open like a coconut by way of my eye socket, usually, 2 to 3 am. I would get up, stumble to the kitchen, microwave a heat pack, or use ice, take 800 mg ibuprofen, and for a while Fioracet in combination.

I had tried every over-the-counter medication available for pain and allergy. Tylenol, Excedrin, Advil, Motrin, not to mention every available allergy medication. Because of the watering eye, I believed, as did a multitude of doctors including allergy specialists and ENTs, that my issue was allergy-related. Singular, Xyzal, Allerga, Zyrtec, Claritin, Alavert, Pseudoephedrine, and so on. The only thing that offered any relief was pseudoephedrine. (Advil cold and sinus in particular). Over the years I took so much of that I feel lucky to have a functioning liver and I should have bought stock in the company.

The question of what was happening was a mystery.

No allergy medications worked to help, and the worst onset of this headache lasted over 2 years straight.

The headache in my case was combined with a badly deviated septum which was discovered in the process of trying to unravel this at an ENT visit. It was suggested that I have a septoplasty to correct it so that I could breathe better, stop persistent sinus infections, and hopefully get rid of this headache.

I put of the surgery for a very long time as they were not at all sure it would cure the pain and the very last thing I needed or could handle was more pain and suffering during a recovery process.

In this journey, I also discovered that I was positive for glyphosate exposure. (Roundup). Because of this, I completed a 10-day neurotoxin liver cleanse. At the end of the 10 days, my headache had cleared! I was so happy. Slowly, over time, the eye started watering again, the pain would creep back in. As it wasn’t as clearly defined as before, I wrongly assumed this was allergies.

I had one headache combined with a sinus infection just before the pandemic hit that was so immensely painful, frankly, I am lucky to still be here alive to write this…

Shortly after that I did go ahead and have the septoplasty. Which was immensely painful and a very hard experience, but the outcome has been fantastic. I can breathe freely now and am very glad I had it done.

Yet even after this, the symptoms began to come back………………….
Disappointed, let down, sad, and frustrated don’t even begin to explain how I felt.
All that pain and expense and for what? So that I could breathe a little better?

Again I went to the ENT. This time this doctor said something different. He said, if no allergy medications work, maybe it’s neurological.

So, I set off to find a neurologist.
Keep in mind I was brought up in a home where holistic was the ONLY health service type we used. Up till this whole debacle I had never even had a blood test let alone used all these medications. Knowing what kind of doctor to go see on all these things was very foreign to me.

In finding a neurologist and explaining all of this he immediately said “I think you have Hemicrania Continua.  I would like you to try a 2-week trial of Indomethacin. That is the only medication that works on this disorder. If it works, we have our answer. If it doesn’t, we will have to go from there.”

Within 2 days every single symptom is GONE.

2 Weeks later, I feel GREAT! I am headache free.

Diagnosis confirmed. Hemicrania Continua (episodic)

The night of the final diagnosis I cried – for once, tears of joy, of release, of freedom from pain. I couldn’t stop. I am getting teary eyed even writing this now. This has been massively traumatic and to have it over with is a life changing dream come true.

I am now on a schedule of Indomethacin for the next 6 months and the hope is that after that time it will simply be as needed. While there is no “cure”, the treatment is very successful. If you think you may have this find a good neurologist who will work with you.

I am writing all of this out because I wish I would have found a blog like this at some point in my journey. I hope it helps someone who is out there suffering right now.
