Help Protect Yourself from the Coronavirus

The news media is having a field day with the Coronavirus outbreak. Many of our patients are coming to us with concerns and wanting to know what they can do to protect themselves and their families from becoming sick.

Rather than address everyone one at a time I wanted to share what I know about it and hopefully help you remain well and set your minds at ease a bit.

The Coronavirus is a variant of SARS which is an infection. It causes severe respiratory symptoms similar to pneumonia. There currently is no vaccine available on the market for this strain of the virus. The CDC believes they will have one ready, but not for another year to a year and a half which doesn’t help to combat this 2020 outbreak. As it is a viral infection, antibiotics, which work on bacteria, are not an effective helper.

As of today, there have been 3 cases confirmed in Florida.

The very first case confirmed was a man in his 60s who is hospitalized in Manatee County

The second patient is a young woman in her 20s who lives in Hillsborough County. She visited Italy recently. She is in stable condition and remains in isolation at home.

The third is the roommate of the second patient. She is under isolation, but so far has not shown any symptoms.

The best advice is not to watch the news continually. Don’t panic or get too overly stressed out about the possibility of it. Stress can break down your immune system.

Wuhan, China is a very heavily populated city. Because of the overpopulation, it is not uncommon for apartments to home 6 to 10 people. Those close quarters are the ideal breeding ground for communicable illnesses. Hospitals there are overwhelmed, they do not have enough supplies, space, or doctors to handle the influx of people with flu-like symptoms and provide supportive care.

America is just not the same. We live in a society of better healthcare and have a lot more personal space. Airplanes would be a good example of a place that may be a possible hazard due to the recirculated air and tight quarters.

Those at the Highest Risk

Anyone with HIV, a compromised immune system, the elderly, and small infants. If you are concerned it is best to stay away from large gatherings of people as much as possible.

The Best Prevention

Wash your hands regularly. Not just after using the restroom, but throughout the day and especially when you have been out and about and return home.

-Take Emergency (Vitamin C powder) 2 x a day.

-Keep your stress as low as possible.

-Get adjusted. Chiropractic realignment ensures that your nervous system is allowing your whole body to get the electrical impulses it needs to work properly on the level of all your organs.

Elderberry syrup – is an immune stimulant. Taken daily can raise your immunity.

-Get rest and make sure you are caught up on sleep.

-Eat a good nutritious well-balanced diet containing lots of fruits and vegetables.

-Limit alcohol intake (too much can detrimentally affect your immune system).

-Masks are for the ill to prevent others from catching it. The only time you really need to wear a mask is if you are traveling on an airplane, it certainly cannot hurt.

If you do get sick

  • Don’t panic
  • Get plenty of rest
  • Drink lots of liquids
  • Vitamin C and Elderberry are helpful in fighting off infection as well as preventatively
  • Do quarantine yourself – going out only spread germs
  • Take hot showers and baths with Epsom salts to help detox
  • Take charcoal capsules (they can help to detoxify the body and speed healing)
  • IF YOU DO DECIDE TO GO TO THE ER OR A WALK-IN CLINIC and you suspect you COULD have the Coronavirus, please CALL AHEAD so they know you are coming and you do not unintentionally infect others.

Keep your spirits up. Much like any other cold or flu you have had in your life, this too shall pass.

We hope this helps set your mind at ease. Knowledge is power.

2020 is the Year of Simplicity

We have all become overburdened and stressed out. We take on too much and we are spread too thin. LET IT GO.

Whatever isn’t necessary for your life, let’s all downsize. Who are we doing all of this for anyway?

Look at your facebook for example. How many groups are you a member of? How many do you really participate in?

If that number doesn’t equal out it’s time to downsize.

The same goes for followers and friends. Unless you are making money promoting, why are you bothering to entertain the world? For 2020 choose quality over quantity, life isn’t a competition.

While you are at it, click unsubscribe from all that junk email!

The focus of energy and attention can make your experience more fulfilling. There is no need to be a part of everything. Pick what speaks to you and move in that direction.

None of us are who we were a year ago…

Best wishes for an amazing 2020!

Beauty Advice for Millenial and GenZ Women from a GenX’r

You all are being bombarded with magazine and web images that have been so overly retouched with Photoshop I am sure half of you don’t even know what’s real anymore. It’s not your fault. It is, however, affecting you.

Because everything you see around you screams perfection, you expect perfection out of yourself. Here is the truth girls. There is no such thing as perfect or flawless. Even the models and online influencers don’t really look like that.

There is no way (in person) to live up to that standard of beauty. Having done editorial and fashion editing we stretch models necks, legs, waists, squeeze in their thighs arms, and waists, remove any trace of a wrinkle (even the ones that need to be there to bend like the lines on your wrists, elbows, and underarms) and decimate every scratch, scar, or zit.

There needs to be some realism in what you consider beautiful, especially when it comes to yourself.

We are all perfect in and of ourselves in our own way. There is no one else who could be a better you than you… that’s fact. So let’s start looking at the positives and stop focusing on our own perceived negatives. We all have good qualities and others we wish were different. Chances are when people look at you they see more of the good than the bad. No one is as hard on you as you are.

Now age 45 I had decided at age 26 that I was going to be ageless. In retrospect, I think this was a brilliant declaration, mostly because it seems to be working. Because of this people often are asking me what I know that they don’t.

I think some of it is of course genetics. But I will pass along the things I have learned, some of which I wish someone had told me sooner.

  1. The fastest places women age are in the hands, neck, and face. Exfoliate, wash, and moisturize. It doesn’t really seem to matter what you use either. I have tried super expensive high end and it doesn’t do anything more than what I use now. Dove soap, random body wash, sugar scrub (which I use on my face as well) and moisturizer.

2.   Drink a gallon of water daily. Hydration is key.

3.   Do occasional internal cleanses – colon, cellular, liver, gallbladder, all of it. Every few years seem to be fine as long as you don’t have any health issues going on.

4.   Exercise – Yep, get off your butt and move. Pick something you find fun and can stick with. We need some weight-bearing exercises to build muscle, not just cardio. As you get older the more muscle base you have not only do you look better but the better you hold together as well.

5. Smile. – Happiness and laughter keep you young. Sadness, depression, and shitty attitude will age you. Everyone goes through dark periods. I am not saying be Pollyanna 24/7 but find happiness and cherish it. Leave bad situations as fast as possible.

6. Vent! – Never keep emotions bottled up. That leads to illness. Illness ages you drastically because it is mentally, spiritually, and physically exhausting.

7. Meditate – it has been proven that getting in a theta brain wave state can heal and help slow down aging so make the time.

8. Save the high heels for special occasions, not daily wear – I was told this and I did not listen. Google ‘Bunion’. You have a very good chance of forming them on your feet if you always wear high heels. Do you look hot? Sure! Is it worth it if you are in pain 10 or 20 years from now and the only way to correct the bone malformation is surgery? Believe me – it’s not. Wear some flats and save the heels for a night out.

9. Eat well but don’t deprive yourself. Life is short. Be healthy but also balance that with happy. Have a treat once in a while…

10. Don’t wash your hair unless it’s dirty – over-washing your hair leads to it looking and feeling bad. You wouldn’t keep tossing an angora sweater in the washing machine would you? Of course not. Be good to your hair. Wash it as needed 1 or 2 times a week. The kind of shampoo depends on your hair type.

11. Your attitude and how you feel about yourself can make or break a beautiful woman. What you project outwardly in so far as how you feel about yourself is, to a great extent, how others will see you as well. Confidence is sexy. The need for constant reassurance is not.

12. The sun is good for you. It’s sunscreen that can cause cancer. Sun is the cure. Don’t bake yourself like a cookie but do get 15-20 min of direct sunlight a day. It helps your body’s defenses and frankly, we all just feel good with a tan.

13. Posture – sit up straight. It looks more elegant and keeps your spine from forming that “old lady curve” as you age.

14. Stretch! – the more limber you stay the easier it will be to maintain that as you age. If you don’t use it you lose it, they weren’t kidding!

15. Makeup – Wash it off at night and give your skin a chance to breathe.

16. RAW Honey as a face mask – wipe on and leave like a face mask 15 min a day. It can clear old scars (just not keloid). It helps your complexion and leaves your skin smooth.

17. Take good care of your teeth – nice white teeth give the appearance of youth so brusha-brusha girls! Floss too! Teeth are very expensive to repair and or replace.

18. Steer clear of permeant makeup. It may look great now but trends change!

19. Throw the rules out the window: If you want to wear something – wear it. Life is short, who cares what anyone else thinks!

20. It’s more than ok to pop pimples and pick oil balls out of your face. Your skin is trying to push that stuff out. Give it a hand just be gentle… A magnifying mirror is your friend.

21. Get massages and take care of yourself! relaxation and healing are key. Health is beauty.

Ok! Hopping off my soapbox now!
I hope you all got something out of that.
Thanks for reading!

How to Safely Detox if You Are Forced to Receive a Vaccination

Vaccines have been shown to damage your body cellularly, permanently, and irrevocably in some cases.
This is a fact and I am not here to debate this with anyone.
You are free to click on and read something else.
If you want to heal, read on.

There have been measures taken by our government to try and implement mandatory vaccinations. This goes against our constitutional rights and against all morals and ethics to try and force people to inject unknown substances into their bodies.

But what if this worst-case scenario did happen?
What can you do to prevent permanent damage to your body?

You can do a vaccination detoxification with all-natural ingredients.

By supplementing as suggested below if, for whatever reason, you do receive a vaccination it will help protect you significantly against the toxins and other dangerous chemicals and viral fragments in these vaccines. Additionally, these steps also help to speed recovery from all forms of flu!

So what is this magical combination? Vitamin C, Milk Thistle, Chlorella, Oscillococcinum, Colloidal Silver and NAC(N-acetyl Cysteine).

Vitamin C – Adults take 2,000mg/day for immune support and chelation of metals used in the vaccines. *Begin taking this several days prior if possible, and 1 full week afterward.

Milk Thistle – This is a powerful liver detoxifier. 175-200mg/daily.

Chlorella – A potent cellular detoxifier and cleanser it also assists in heavy metal chelation. 5g/day.

Oscillococcinum – is a homeopathic remedy that helps alleviate unwanted flu and flu vaccine symptoms. It provides relief for trauma caused to the body. It comes in small tubes which contain pellets. They are to be taken sublingually (under the tongue). Note: do not brush your teeth just before or after taking these, as mint can counteract its effects.

Colloidal Silver – Adults take 2 oz. per day minimum for effective immune support. If possible take several days prior and a week after receiving an injection.

Cold pack: Place a cold pack on the injection site as soon as you can, and keep icing for 2 days (10-20 min on every couple hours).

Fasting: Fasting is one of the quickest ways to flush the toxins through and out of your system. To do a proper fast, abstain from eating food, but drink as much water as you can. 24 hours minimum, and up to 3 days. You can also do a juice fast, drinking just fresh vegetable juice, but it isn’t quite as effective.

Sauna: As soon as you get vaccinated the sauna should be your next stop (if at all possible). Stay in for at least 20 minutes. Sweat released contains heavy metal and toxins.

Sun exposure: Vitamin D3 protects against micro organism invasion and balances your immune system.

Parsley/Celery/Cilantro: Juice and drink, as well as add to foods and eat. They all assist in detoxification at a rapid cellular level.

Do a cellular level cleanse: Google “Nutritional Response Therapy Near Me” – go see a practitioner. They will test you and give you a custom plan to detox you the right way. (it’s not nearly as expensive to do this as one would think and it could save your health).

Your health is your number one asset. We strongly urge you to protect it!

Ken’s Boost Your Body Blueberry Milkshake!

Believe it or not, these “Diet” Milkshakes That Are Actually Great for Your Health and Tastebuds!

That’s right. Fitness over ’40s very own men’s physique competitors and multi contest winner Ken Elrod has concocted a healthy milkless milkshake. We realize that is a very confusing statement. After all, if there is no milk in it… (blank stare inserted here.)

While sticking to his protocol for men’s physique bodybuilding Ken tends to get creative in his food prep. Sometimes with some really good results. This one I wanted to share with you all.

This shake is thick, creamy, and delicious. He had me try it this morning and I almost didn’t give it back.

Ingredients:

1 Scoop Strawberry Dymatize ISO 100 protein (isolate protein)

1 Cup of Frozen Blueberries

12 pumps (12 oz.) of Egg whites International’s liquid egg whites

Directions:

Place in a blender, Ninja, or Nutribullet for about 20 seconds and voila! Instant milkshake or at least you would think it was by the taste. Drink soon to keep it cold and from separating.

Macros:

Egg whites 12 fl oz.
180 Calories, 3 carbs, 0 fat, 39 grams of protein

Strawberry Iso 100 Protein
1 scoop 110 Calories, 1 carb, 1 gram of fat, 25 grams of protein

Blueberries 1 cup frozen 79 Calories, 19 carbs, 1 gram of fat, 1 gram of protein

This totals out at:
369 Calories, 23 grams of carbs, 2 grams of fat, and 65 grams of protein!

The average milkshake?
Steak and shake = average 700 calories / 145 g carbs / 30g fat and only 18 protein

McDonalds = 560 calories / 91 g carbs / 16 g fat and only 12 g protein

Sonic 10oz. Milk Shake = 480 calories / 57 g carbs / 26 g fat / 6 g protein

The advantage of Ken’s version too is that there are many nutrients besides the normal macros that your body uses and benefits from.

Blueberries – Blueberries, though not classified as a “miracle food” sure are. They are naturally super high in antioxidants, they help to reduce DNA Damage, may help protect against aging, have shown benefit in fighting cancer, can protect from cholesterol and help support healthy blood pressure.

Egg Whites – Are one of the purest protein forms on the market (so long as you don’t happen to have an egg allergy). These are pasteurized so there is no risk of salmonella poisoning as there is with cracking open raw eggs. Frankly, it also tastes better and isn’t that weird slimy consistency. If you have never drunk egg whites before these taste almost like drinking skim milk.

Egg whites, of course, are a protein source but they also hold omegas, potassium, and riboflavin.

Egg whites International’s liquid egg whites which we have found in bulk are far cheaper than buying egg whites from the store in small cartons or even from Costco. They are pasteurized and can last in the fridge for up to 6 months. (not that we give them a chance around here.) www.eggwhitesint.com is our source, tell them Ken sent you if you happen to decide you would like them in your fridge too.

Dymatize Iso 100 – Was named supplement of the year for multiple years running by bodybuilding.com. It is gluten-free, fast-digesting, banned substance tested, and tastes great. It is sweetened with natural stevia so there are no artificial sweeteners.

So – you can now “have your shake and eat it too!”
Thanks,
Ken!

The Selfie Obsession – What’s Really Behind It

Many of us look at the number of selfies people post online and think “narcissist”. But is there more to it than that? Our online personas are the faces we wish to present to the world. It’s both who we are and who we strive to be wrapped into one.

With the help of newer technologies, the view we present may or may not be the whole truth. Filters and Photoshop can do a great deal to alter the final image.

The question becomes, why are we doing this and why can’t we just be happy with ourselves as is?

The answer is perception.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. We have all heard that time old phrase but how true is it really?

Have you ever wondered what our brains see and if what one brain sees is the same as the next? My best guess is that indeed we do see things just a bit differently from each other.

In the past, we have relied on others to take photos of us. Cameras just weren’t built for aiming towards yourself. They were too big and too bulky. Because of this we were always only presented through the perspective of the photographer.

This varied perspective is part of why we may love one photographer’s work and not so much another. Composition, lighting, angle, and personal view all come together to make the finished image.

With the invention of smaller handheld phone cameras – came the selfie. I believe why this has become such an enormous trend is not just convenience but the ability to be the photographer. To capture what you see as your true best self. Selfies are the view you want the world to have of you. So when you are happy with the result you are proud to show it off.

***There is some kind of odd phenomenon that happens in photography. Many people will look at an image and say “That’s me?” as if they don’t recognize themselves. Somehow they get so hooked and focused on flaws that they don’t see their beauty until presented third person.
The same happens in voice recording. Your own voice will not sound like you (at least not to you).

Add to that the magic of filters and you can be thinner, have better skin, change your eye color, and do wondrous things. I have done magazine and editorial photo editing. It isn’t a pretty thing to see some of the before and after images. We smooth every line, wrinkle, freckle, birthmark, heck even the model’s armpits are touched up beyond recognition half the time. Necks are lengthened, shortened, and the same with legs and waists. These models are beautiful to start with, yet somehow as an advertiser in society, we wash away on purpose what makes them – them.

It’s no wonder the public has followed suit.

I don’t believe selfies are so much about vanity as they are the ability to try and control how the world sees you, as well as how you perceive yourself so that it matches up with how you view yourself in your mind’s eye.

The Float Tank Experience – What You Need To Understand and No One Tells You

In digging all I found all over the internet were people who loved the experience. I was perplexed.  I had been looking forward to this for years. I finally went and felt very let down.

Going in I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect other than that I would love it. I meditate regularly and deeply and have for years. I arrived, and the salon is lovely. Very zen and relaxing. Beautifully done dressing area and individual private float pod rooms. I did as instructed, went into my room, locked the door, and proceeded to take a shower with soap and shampoo to ready myself to float.

Upon getting in the pod I think my skin must have been kind of dry because I felt a salt sting like the ocean. The water was a nice warm temperature and easy to recline into. During my first float, I spent time trying to maneuverer a comfortable position and couldn’t seem to find one. I tried the neck float rest, then removed it. I splashed water in my eye (that hurts quite a bit), once I got into the float, I couldn’t shut my usually silent brain off.

Laying there in silence it seemed an eternity. As I had no markers for time I kept kind of almost anxiously waiting for the music to come back on to signal exit. I felt tingles in my muscles and twinges where I am healing from an injury.

By the time I was just about finally relaxed and beginning to possibly get into it, time was up. I got out, showered, and proceeded to the relaxation area and oxygen bar which was lovely.

We did sign up for another float because my husband had a very good experience. So we still had 2 more on file to use.

The next day I woke up and felt terrible. As if someone had beat me up in my sleep. My everything was sore. As I awoke I also found that I was very overly emotional for no reason and just felt bad.

I didn’t understand what had happened.

I spoke with my Naturopathic Physician who explained that this reaction is actually normal. What was happening was a detoxification healing crisis along with a drop in my cortisol (stress hormone) level. It would pass and was actually for my best and highest good even if it sucked at the moment.

In understanding this: I bravely (or stupidly depending on who you ask) went back again to float yesterday. This time? It was more familiar. I moisturized well all week so there was no itching. My earplugs were in place this time before the shower so they fit well, and I used the Vaseline given on my lips and right at the corner of my eyes.

I also had them put on some meditation music rather than silence for the time. I laid back and chose the most comfortable position I had found and this time surprisingly I relaxed in only a few minutes and had a wonderful meditative experience. I felt as if I was being suspended and fully supported in warm jello. It was amazing!

The zapping feeling in my muscles while in mediation encased my damaged areas. I believe that was healing I was experiencing. I stayed in for most of the time, getting out 15 minutes early when I started feeling stiff. (I didn’t want to push it or experience what I had before).

This time I felt some zaps and painful zings in the middle of the night deep inside my bones. It felt like pain leaving my body, even if I had to experience it as it left this one last time. What exactly was detoxifying, I could not tell you.

We will be going back again. I am very glad I pushed through and asked for answers to understand what had happened to me.

I fully believe this is good for my health and eventually floats will be totally pain-free as will I.

I hope this helps someone should you experience something similar, because I could not find anything online anything like my float.

Miami Law Firm Drops RoundUp Sick Clients Based on “Expert” recommendations.

I spent well over a year sick as hell with a constant nonending headache so bad a brain tumor had to be ruled out.

Without going into the whole story which you can read here if you are interested, I figured it out on my own, got tested, verified organophosphate poisoning and even figured out the causation (where I would have come in contact).

My case, along with several others in Southwest, Florida, was accepted by PodhurstOrseck, P.A. of Miami, Florida in December of 2018. 8 months later I have received a letter stating that Dr. William Sawyer, Expert Toxicologist, could not make a solid connection between my symptoms and RoundUp. They have dropped all of our cases.

The case was literally handed to them. A trained monkey could have made the correlation.

My landlord sprayed RoundUp directly around my entire home for 5 years. How much more clear cut can that be? Now add to that I was living in a highly contaminated area of Naples, Florida. Collier and Charlotte county has numerous residents showing a positive blood test result and coming up sick.

In comparison to some residents glyphosate induced symptoms, I was very lucky. People have died, had to have heart flaps replaced, had skin lesions, loss of bowel and bladder control, inability to think clearly, loss of balance leading to falls (myself included on that one), memory issues, headaches, cancer, and a huge array of other issues.

If you are still using RoundUp – for your own sake, stop it.

Dropping clients who are sick and depending on you after wasting a huge chunk of time that counts toward the statute of limitations for suit running out is highly unethical and should be noted before you decide on a firm to represent you.

I do not recommend PodhurstOrseck, P.A. of Miami, Florida.

Letter from PodhurstOrseck, P.A.

Exactly HOW many times is enough Dr. Sawyer? It was enough to make us all sick as hell.. but I guess that is ok with you… Congrats on pushing Monsanto’s agenda…

Are you sick with Roundup Poisoning? You know you can help your body heal and detoxify from this… it doesn’t have to kill you if you catch it early enough. I healed myself with a neurotoxin liver cleanse. I am not a doctor nor do I claim to offer any kind of medical advice. This cleanse is simply my own personal experience. Today I am healthy and my bloodwork is normal.

Good luck to all those out there fighting Monsanto. I wish you wins so maybe one day this crap will stop being sprayed and people will stop falling ill.

Sarah
