Well, this is exciting! Next weekend, I’m heading to Los Angeles for the premiere of the film TRUTH, and I couldn’t be more thrilled!
I’ll be attending the premiere with Lynette, The Organic Guru, enjoying the excitement of Hollywood, meeting some fascinating people, and getting a little behind-the-scenes access to the world of filmmaking. Yes, there will be some backstage hobnobbing, and you can bet I’m looking forward to every minute of it!
As a writer, designer, musician, and someone who has spent much of her life exploring the deeper questions of human existence, consciousness, and personal transformation, I love opportunities that bring creative minds together. There’s something incredibly inspiring about being surrounded by people who are passionate about bringing their visions to life.
And if there’s one thing I’ve learned throughout my own journey, it’s that life has a wonderful way of opening unexpected doors when you’re willing to walk through them.
Over the years, I’ve worn a lot of creative hats. I’ve written books, built businesses, designed countless projects, released original music as Wicked Divinity, and shared my own unconventional perspectives on life, spirituality, and what it means to truly know yourself. I’ve never been particularly interested in fitting into anyone else’s definition of who I should be, and at 51, I’m certainly not about to start!
This trip feels like another exciting chapter in a life that continues to surprise me.
I’m especially looking forward to connecting with other creative people, enjoying the atmosphere of a Hollywood premiere, and seeing where the conversations and connections might lead. Some of the most interesting experiences in life begin with simply showing up and being yourself.
And believe me, I have absolutely no problem doing that!
I’ve often joked that I’ve been a celebrity in my own mind for most of my life. Now I get to take that particular brand of confidence to Los Angeles and have a little fun with it. 😂
But beyond the glamour, the excitement, and the opportunity to mingle with people in the entertainment industry, I’m genuinely grateful for the experience. It’s another reminder that we never really know what opportunities might be waiting around the corner.
I’ll be sharing photos, stories, and hopefully some interesting behind-the-scenes moments from the premiere.
Los Angeles, I’ll see you next weekend!
And as always, I’m showing up exactly as I am.
Much love,
Sarah Julie Barendse
