I have repeatedly heard people say in raising a glass, “We should cheers!”

EEEET (buzzer noise) Cheers isn’t an action verb. It’s an interjection (an expression).

“We should raise our glasses and TOAST.”
The TOAST is “Cheers!”
Cheers means “Wishing good to all”

I don’t mean to be nit-picky, but this one drives me bonkers.
