Hurricane Ian Destroys Much of Southwest Florida

As many of you know both Fort Myers and Naples Florida were my home for many years. Seeing the level of destruction that swept through Southwest Florida has been hard to watch and heart breaking.

The first responders and government officials are working around the clock to go building to building looking for possible survivors as well as those not so lucky. It takes time. Florida has never experienced storm damage on this level before and the real tolls of lives lost, and damage done cannot be calculated yet.

Getting food, water, basic needs, and clothing to people in the area has proven challenging and many are asking how best to help.

So far what I see is that the CAJUN ARMY is doing a great deal to support SWFL and bringing in supplies as they are able along with assisting in rescue efforts. Please support them with a donation or by purchasing off their “Wish list” on Amazon which then ships to them, and they personally deliver to the affected areas.

Cajun Navy Relief is their website.

Their wish list which can be used by logging into amazon on your own acct and then choosing off the list located at

Prayers for everyone in Florida!
