If you have a FB page set up for your business, you may or may not be currently seeing direct traffic as reflected through google analytics TO your website from your Facebook business page.
This does not mean you are wasting your time posting and keeping your Facebook up to date.
Think of your online presence like a funnel. You have all these different catch-alls at the top of the funnel (the widest part) – Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and more. Though Google is the main search engine right now, followed by Bing and Yahoo, many people rely on social media to get a feel for a company before they see their listing on a search engine itself or view your website. A first impression is everything. It is also being used to garner information such as location and phone number as well as website URL.
So while you may feel like you are not getting any return for your time, it’s simply often not the case.
