The Need for Sunglasses is Caused by Weakened Adrenal Glands

Do you grab your shades every time you head out of the house? If so, is it a habit, or do you actually need them?

Next time you are out on a sunny day, take your sunglasses off. Walk around like that for a while. Do you squint excessively? Does the sun physically hurt your eyes (make them feel strained or achy, do they water)? If so, you may want to consider the possibility that your adrenal glands could use some support.

Why Would Your Adrenal Glands Be Weak?

In this day and age, it would actually shock me if most people didn’t need some adrenal support now and then. Your adrenal glands are responsible for the fight-or-flight response. In nature that is meant to help us stay safe from predators. Our bodies go into this emergency mode so that we can be immediately in a state of heightened awareness and get ourselves out of immediate danger.

The problem is that with the way the world is today, “Something” is always happening. We, as a society, are stressed out. We don’t eat as well as we should, we don’t get enough sleep, and we prop ourselves up artificially with energy drinks, coffee, and other stimulants that further deplete the adrenals.

Test Your Adrenals

While Medical Testing isn’t necessary, I wanted to give you the Test in case you are a very science-minded individual who prefers proof over simply intuitive symptom analysis. The ACTH Stimulation Test is the most specific test for diagnosing adrenal insufficiency.

We Need Less Stress & We Need to Support the Adrenal Glands

Anything you can do to lower your stress level helps. Take a walk, read a book, take a nice hot bath, go get a massage, just relax. Breathe.

The Adrenal Support I personally love is Drenamin from Standard Process. There are others on the market. This is just the one I am familiar with, and I know for a fact works.

Adrenals, Sunglasses, and Tanning

Now this is very interesting. If you look at older pictures of people at the beach, like 1960 and further back. Almost no one is wearing sunglasses. Rates of skin cancer were far lower, as well. Why? – Our eyes were meant to let the sunlight in. The sun revives and charges up our cells. It heals us. It is not the cause of cancer. When you wear no sunglasses, your eyes signal your body to protect itself and tan. When you have sunglasses on that natural signal is blocked. It confuses the body. It does not protect itself and you often end up burning rather than tanning.

You may say “Well it’s bright out, I need sunglasses!” but do you? Strengthen your adrenals for a while. Destress, and take some Adrenal support. Then go to the beach again and try it without sunglasses.

I wasn’t sure what to think about this idea myself at first. I always wore sunglasses. I stopped. I rarely wear them now. Even in the brightest sun, it doesn’t bother me like it used to! I also do not seem to be getting red as I had previously.

I would love to hear from others who try this! So please check back in.

Great article. I had no idea that this could be the cause. I just ordered some Drenamin and going to see if this makes a difference!
